The area is known for its incredible wildflowers, views of the Gore and Ten Mile Ranges, and abundant wildlife sightings. Travel by horseback to 11,300 feet on one of Summit County’s highest rides! After a short hike we serve up a great lunch and head down the mountain. This ride is for the intermediate rider who wants the most of a day of horseback riding in Colorado.

Full-Day Horseback Ride Eagles Nest Wilderness w/ Fly-Fishing

We start our ride from exclusive and private Ruby Ranch in Silverthorne, Colorado and head to Salmon and Willow lakes. Riders have opportunities to stop along the way at Middle or North Willow Creek to do a little casting. We fish for Colorado’s famous cutthroat and brook trout. Sometimes, the hardest part of this Colorado horseback trip is taking so many fish off the hook.
